Exploring Technology, Research, and Innovation
My research into prosthetics inspired me to want to help prosthetic researchers advance the fields, leading me to create GestureTrace. GestureTrace.com is a collaborative platform where users can record and analyze hand gestures to provide valuable data for researchers in hand prosthetics and gesture recognition. By harnessing crowd-sourced data, GestureTrace enables users to record hand movements through their webcams, contributing to a rich dataset that researchers can use to develop and refine prosthetic and assistive technologies. I leveraged TensorFlow.js to process and extract hand gestures directly from webcam recordings, making the platform effective for generating high-quality, structured gesture data.
